During day 27 of the Big Dinner a special guest arrives… So adorable!
This is Stuart from Germany on his last day of work experience today, “I met so many nice people, I don’t want to leave…”
Susan sharing her pieces of work from the glass-making classes she attends! The ladies were fascinated by her work – nice one Susan you’re super skilled ? And Zakariah, 13 years old was introduced to one of the attendees who studied architecture to ask him all the questions he had… hope it will help him make his choice about what to study at University in future!
That’s what it’s all about here – sharing, socialising, giving; and learning ☺️
So many kind hearted members of the public have united by giving food, clothing and toiletries to those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.
With an overload of donations being sent directly to those affected and no place to store it, our team has been heavily involved in re-distributing those donations and sending them according to the requests made by the families and individuals now temporarily staying in hotels. We have volunteers living close to Concord Cafe who have been going back and fourth to get the requests from families, notifying us so we can get the boxes of items ready and send it back with them! It’s been non-stop since last Friday.
“My Algerian friend managed to escape the fire from his flat in the Grenfell Tower and stayed at my flat nearby; and now I have no contact with him, I don’t know where his is! But God willing he is fine and i’m just doing what I can” – MR H

Mr H found us after coming here to drop off some of the many donations sent our way by Al Manaar Mosque; and was pleasantly surprised to find out about our charity! Other volunteers filled their car boots and brought what they could then stayed for the Big Dinner to break their fast 🙂
A member of the NAC team has dedicated their support to some close families of the residents at Grenfell Tower, making visits to their homes; and visited the shelters where most people spent their first night.
THANK YOU to all the amazing volunteers who have been working so hard and helping out! We made an even greater difference with you.
